This weekend, the magazine section of The Sydney Morning Herald ran a fascinating and well-written story entitled The Life Hackers by Clive Thompson. As it turns out, it was reprinted from the NYT Magazine on 16 October. It’s critical reading as far as I’m concerned. and deals with the nature of distraction and work in the 21st Century workplace and research being undertaken into technology (and not so much) that can be used to manage this mess.
Neither the SMH or NYT has it online for free, so I’ve tracked down the original author’s blog and found a link to the story. Go ahead and read Meet the Life Hackers. You won’t be sorry.
