Last night I moved Acid from Movable Type 3.2 (which, don’t get me wrong, is a GREAT piece of software) to WordPress 1.5.2. I have to say I’m very impressed with the whole thing, especially the “plug everything in” architecture, which is very smart indeed. I did this for several reasons:
- Josh at Logjamming provided me with free MySQL database access, which he didn’t have to do, as I only have a Basic Account
- I got bored with trying to port K2 to Movable Type
- I wanted a more dynamic (as in completely) publishing system (Movable Type does this, but with my other reasons…)
So, now I have a sweet, PHP-driven dynamic blog running on WordPress and using Michael Hielemann‘s equally sweet K2 theme.
